  • Pietrojan’s experience is in the energy, healthcare and telecoms industries – the common thread being the ability to understand regulated industries.
  • Extensive experience in cleantech / renewables with returns varying from 2x to 7x capital invested, with leadership roles in wind, solar and the smart metering industries. All past investments have been sold to multinationals or private equity groups.
  • Founded Gilardini Realty Healthcare, a real estate company dedicated to the real estate needs of healthcare multinationals.
  • Private equity experience at Star Capital – an €800m infrastructure fund. Before that at Deutsche Bank for 10 years leading M&A and financing transactions in the telecoms team and at Boston Consulting Group.
  • MBA from Columbia with a specialization in Environmental Law and a degree in Engineering and Economics from Oxford and is fluent in French, Spanish, Italian and conversational German.

Sean Behr

  • Sean is Co-Founder and President of STRATIM (acquired by KAR), the intelligent mobility and fleet infrastructure platform to power the future of transportation.
  • Sean previously served in leadership roles at Adap.tv (acquired by AOL), most recently, as SVP, Global operations. Before Adap.tv, Sean held various management roles at Shopping.com (acquired by Ebay) including roles in HR, sales, product management and strategy development.
  • In addition, Sean advises, mentors and invests in entrepreneurs and early-stage companies. Sean is familiar with many of the investors in mobility in both the USA, Europe and Israel.
  • Sean holds a B.A. in History and Political Science from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.

Sofia Boarelli

Research Analyst

Sofia is a research analyst who gained experience internationally, having lived for the last decade in China, Taiwan and the US.

She holds an MBA in Finance from National Cheng Kung University and worked at Taishin International Bank in the credit and investment department.

She has passed the three CFA exams and speaks Mandarin, English and Italian.

  • Giovannella is an international lawyer with deep experience on climate change matters. She is based in Brussels and has worked extensively with the EU Commission, the EIB and the EBRD.
  • Member of the Legal Liaison Group of the Emission Trading Group in the UK (1999-2001).
  • Special advisor to the Ministry of European Affairs in Italy.
  • Advisor to governments in the EU, the Western Balkans, Middle East and the African continent, in relation to their policy and legislative reforms towards sustainable goals.
  • From 2015 till 2018 Giovannella has been Contract Professor on Environmental Law and Climate Change at the Paris Sorbonne University Abu Dhabi.

  • Investment experience of €1.5b+ in sustainability, with successful exit multiples.
  • Member of the Advisory Board of Linse Capital III, a $40m investment vehicle fully invested in Chargepoint.
  • Co-Founder / Partner of ACCI Capital, an asset management company with ca. $250m of AUM.
  • Co-founder / Partner of WHEB Infrastructure, part of the WHEB Group, a leading sustainability investor.
  • Before that, involved in the inception, and key member of the investment team of a €300m renewable energy private equity fund.
  • Javier holds a General Management Program diploma from IESE Business School, he’s a Diplome Grande Ecole graduate from ESCP Europe in Paris, holds a MSc in Management at CASS Business School in London and a MSc in East Asia Studies. He is a Spanish national, fluent in English, French, Italian and conversational Mandarin.

I am responsible for project management, administration/back office and overall team coordination.

Robert-Eduard Koenig

  • 30+ year investment banking experience with HSBC, Nomura and Deutsche Bank based in London, New York, Mexico City, Frankfurt and Tokyo holding the title of Managing Director for 20+ years.
  • Specialised in the Telecom, Media and Technology spaces completing over 175 transactions involving M&A advisory, IPO and equity related capital raising as well as high yield financings.
  • Acts as Partner at SATIF and personally co-invested in Chargepoint.
  • Acts as Board Member and Partner at Quadrivio Group.

Michael Liebreich

Senior Advisor

  • Michael was Founder & CEO and currently acts as Senior Contributor to Bloomberg New Energy Finance, the world’s leading provider of research for senior decision-makers in clean energy and transportation.
  • He was also a Board Member of Transport for London, the capital’s transport authority and holds a variety of other directory and advisory positions in business and the non-profit sector. Michael is a Visiting Professor at the Imperial College Energy Futures Lab.
  • Prior to founding New Energy Finance, Michael was an entrepreneur, venture capitalist and media executive. He also spent five years with management consultants McKinsey & Company. Michael graduated in Engineering from the University of Cambridge with first class honours, winning the Ricardo Prize for Thermodynamics, the Christ’s College Wyatt Prize and a College Scholarship.
  • He earned his MBA from Harvard, where he was a Harkness Fellow and Baker Scholar. Pietrojan has invested with Michael in the clean energy space since 2004 and Pietrojan, Javier, Robert and Michael are all investors in ChargePoint.

She studied Graphic Design at Universidad de Palermo in Buenos Aires and has worked for many commercial real estate businesses as clients.

She is responsible for web marketing, graphics and assists with marketing efforts on social media.

Dr. Fiorangelo Salvatorelli

  • Fiorangelo and Pietrojan have known each other for 30 years.
  • Fiorangelo has been an investor for the last 20 years having been a partner at Lansdowne Capital, Kite Lake Capital, and having worked with Fidelity, Newton Investment Management and McKinsey.
  • He is currently a partner at Fusion Global Capital which invests in rapidly growing digital companies.
  • He has a PhD from Oxford University in Engineering and has invested in several companies dedicated to electrification.
